We maintain confidentiality in accordance with professional mediation standards and our Privacy Policy. However, confidentiality may be subject to legal exceptions (e.g., mandatory reporting requirements).

8. Donations

8.1 Donation Processing

Donations made through our Website are processed by secure third-party payment processors. By making a donation, you agree to the terms and conditions of the payment processor.

8.2 Refund Policy

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 7 days, and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

8.3 Tax Deductibility

RTI is a registered non-state organisation in Uganda. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of donations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • RTI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website or Services.
  • RTI's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to RTI (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

In keeping with our mission, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall first be submitted to mediation in good faith. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Ugandan law.

12.3 Jurisdiction

If arbitration is not applicable, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kampala, Uganda.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Website or Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RTI regarding your use of the Website and Services, superseding any prior agreements.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14.5 Force Majeure

RTI shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
